Our Impact Most of our artists find it challenging to communicate verbally, however, art has given them a meaningful way to tell their stories. Every item sold brings impacts . Community Development & Empowerment Since 2020, we have partnered with SLB Kyriakon to be a part of their extracurricular programs. Today, we have 12 artists joining the program, where we regularly create new artworks and give different art training. Our programs have enabled our artists to be heard by telling their stories and point of view through their artworks. Each new collection or project we make accumulates about 18 co-creation hours with our artists. Economic Empowerment We give a portion of our proceeds to our artists for every item sold, enabling them to earn their own income. Improved Quality of Life Ultimately our initiatives positively impacted our artists beyond economic values. Through our initiatives, our gifted artists have a better sense of what it is like to belong and contribute to our society, to be heard, and therefore they have better confidence and sense of purpose.

  • Our Story | Terartai

A Gift Everyone Has Our journey revolves around a message that resonates deep within the hearts of our founders: #EveryoneHasAGift, a story to share, and the potential to make a profound impact. Limited ways to earn money and progress. Not many supportive communities. Lack sense of purpose as they struggle to express their ideas. Few Job Opportunities for People with Special-Needs. People with special-needs often struggle to find work. We Face Challenges Feeling Invisible Life quality is low, and society tends to ignore them. They feel voiceless and left out. Empowerment and Expression Issues. Environmental Challenges. According to Bappenas, 92 million tonnes of textile waste is created each year in Indonesia. According to the UNEP, Indonesia produces 3.2 million tonnes of unmanaged plastic waste a year. We Bring Solution We continuously enhance our business processes to strengthen our commitment to inclusivity and embrace a more circular approach each day. We are actively creating a legacy of positive change. Meet the Gifted Artists Our artists range from 12 to 43 years old, creating a diverse community of 14 individuals across Jakarta, Riau, and Riyadh. Many have completed their academic education at institutions like SLB Kyriakon in Jakarta but face limited opportunities for further education and vocational growth. We believe in breaking age barriers and nurturing creativity, providing a platform for our artists to explore their unique talents and dreams. With conditions of autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, and asperger’s making it hard for them to express themselves verbally, their art becomes their voice, expressing dreams and stories.
