Stories of the braves is the first exhibition ever held by TERARTAI showcasing artworks created by our gifted artists (a community with special needs).
TERARTAI is a social enterprise that works together with gifted artists by co-creating arts and turning them into meaningful souvenirs, and gifts. Today, we are working together with Yayasan Kyriakon Mission to help pave ways for their students’ vocational opportunities.
Stories of the braves is an exhibition showcasing artworks created by our gifted artists. Each artwork tells our artists’ stories about courage, hope, and what it means for them to be brave.
We hope that Stories of the braves can be an inspiration for many to have the courage to try, to take that leap, whilst raising the awareness about the courage and resilience of communities with special needs.

Jujur itu sulit. Berani apalagi.
Ketika kita jujur dalam hidup ini, tidak selalu disukai orang. Keberanian adalah lompatan kita untuk dapat jujur dalam hidup ini lompatan yang ketika kita lakukan bersinar terang seperti “shooting stars”
It’s hard to be honest. It’s even harder to be brave. When we’re honest about ourselves we risk ourselves from being disliked by others. But courage allows us to take a leap of faith to be honest about ourselves. When we take that leap we will shine bright just like the shooting stars.

Alaric loves to read. Alaric’s colour choices are always thoughtful and cheerful; resembling his lighthearted character.
Most of them are non-verbal, but thanks to the support of their courageous families, caregivers, teachers, and therapists they are able to create and communicate and tell their stories using a communication board.
